First of all, thank you for registering for our very first trail race! Our goal is to provide an epic weekend for you filled with running, swimming and games, and an opportunity to relax after your run. We hope this is a memorable weekend for all of you and that you leave feeling connected to the Trail Roots community.
We will have a local Austin food truck, Ground Up, available for participants and their families all day. Bottom Dollar String band, a local Austin bluegrass band, will be playing and post run libations provided by Austin’s own Oasis Brewing. There will also be plenty of fresh water in the Flat Creek where you can swim to cool off.
If this is your first trail race, we put together some gear and course info that can help you be more prepared when you step on the starting line!

Pre Race Briefing: 10 min prior to each race
As of now there is a chance of rain. It changes every few days, so we are crossing our fingers. The course is pretty hilly and rocky and drains well, and we believe that should keep it from being overly muddy. Things will be a bit slick if the course is wet, so give some room between other runners when possible. The only reason the race will be delayed or canceled is from lightning.
Traveling to Flat Creek Crossing
Take Interstate 290 to CR 3232. **Avoid Fitzhugh rd** because of a low water crossing. The water could be high, and even at lower levels traffic can be backed up. Google maps uses Fitzhugh so double check your route
